I have had a few blogs in the past devoted to things my geek friends and I think are funny or interesting or dramatic. My most recent blogs are Blogger blogs: shesavedmylife.blogspot.com (a blog about Cancer) and I just started girlsdigtech.blogspot.com (just tech stuff). My 3 year old son started his own blog yesterday: tristancash.blogspot.com.

I work at an advertising firm on the plaza but have been doing freelance for a long, long time. I've worked in the VoIP industry and for the DoD. I am a programmer/web developer/web designer.

I love what I do and wish there were more like 30 hours in a day so I could podcast too.

I live in Brookside.

Hey all, I'm Ed Roberts. I'm a long time podcaster and all-around new media geek.

Most people in the area know me from the daily Kansas City Weather Podcast (http://KCWeather.org) which is 3+ years and 1100+ episodes strong.

I also do a couple of music shows. My main music podcast is Looking Out The Window (http://LookingOutTheWindow.com) where I talk to musicians about the stories behind their songs. Podsafe Christmas is a daily Christmas music podcast during the Christmas season that also features music from independent and small-label artists.

I blog on occasion at http://EdRobertsBlog.com, and have spoken at several new media events. Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, etc. etc. etc. So yeah... I guess you can say that it's a pretty big part of my life.

I have really only been twittering these days; not blogging much beyond to spam the web with barcampkc updates. I recently moved back after being away for a few years and it's exciting to discover all the active techies, bloggers, and entrepreneurs like the very folks in this thread.

I have lived in the KC area my whole life (Lee's Summit and now Greenwood). I work at a local regional bank that's headquartered downtown and spend most of my free time dabbling in tech-related stuff. I mainly try to focus on web stuff (I'm not so good at design, but can code pretty well).

I'm always up for seeing what's going on locally. I'll be at The Uptown tomorrow for The Raconteurs concert!
